If they told you wolverines would make good house pets, would you believe them?
Description
I haven’t posted in the last couple of days, mainly because I’ve had nothing to talk about. Why, you ask? Mainly because I’ve been sick, so I haven’t felt like doing anything, and so have nothing interesting to report.  About the only interesting thing I did the last few days was watch Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
If you haven’t seen Planes, Trains and Automobiles you’re missing out. It’s a great holiday movie, with some magnificent acting by both John Candy and Steve Martin. It’s a John Hughes film, but it focuses on adults and not teenagers. The back story to the movie is actually quite interesting as well. At the time the movie was released Hughes was known as a “teen comedy” film maker, even though most of his first films like National Lampoons Vacation and Mr. Mom were for adults, while Martin and Candy were both regarded as buffoon type comedians.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles was regarded as Hughes first foray back into “adult” film making, and gave Martin and Candy chances to show some of their more dramatic acting skills. It’s a great movie, and except for an F-bomb laden scene with a rental car employee, could easily be a good family movie. If you haven’t seen it, and even if you have, I suggest you run out and pick up a copy. You can find it pretty reasonably priced these days, so there’s no reason not to own it.
Anyway, now that I am on the mend I’ve been able to get out and get some things going. My son and I worked on Christmas lights, and though we aren’t done yet, we’ve made good progress. We should be able to get everything else done on Friday.
After working on the lights, we decided to take a break and go for a walk around the neighborhood. I grabbed my trusty Nikon for good measure. Below are some of the pictures I took of my son while we were out and about. I’m quite pleased with the picture of him in the pine tree. I thought it turned out well, and was a nice fun shot of him. So, without further ado here are the pics, with more to come of the Christmas lights after Thanksgiving.

Glad to see you’re back posting to your blog. Great pictures! My fav is the one with J in the tree too.
Josh, I love Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I never get tired of it! I saw it just the other night also. I forget what channel it was on. My favorite part is the rental car scene-hilarious!
See you Thursday!
